Vladimir Lukashov ("we", "us") operates Machinist Calc ("the App"). This policy explains how the App handles your information. Calculations and saved setups stay on your device. The App has no accounts or login. We do not collect your name, email, contacts, photos or location. The App has no advertising or cross-app tracking.
The App calculates spindle speed, feed rate, chip load, chip thinning and tap drill sizes entirely on your device. It does not upload calculation inputs, results or saved setup names to a server.
The App asks for no permissions at all. It does not use the camera, microphone, photos, contacts, location, or motion sensors. It is arithmetic over numbers you type.
The App stores cutter diameters, flute counts, thread dimensions, machine speed limits, custom tool data and saved setup names on your device. Analytics events do not include these values or clipboard contents.
We use TelemetryDeck to see which features people use and decide what to improve. Events record screen visits, changes to calculator settings, copying a result, saving or reopening a setup, storage failures, and purchase or restore outcomes. Event details use predefined categories: unit system, material and tooling type, standard or custom thread, selected subscription plan, and whether chip thinning, custom tool data or a spindle speed limit is in use. We do not send error messages or the numerical values you enter.
TelemetryDeck's software also sends technical information such as app and operating system versions, device model, language, session information and a hashed identifier to measure repeat usage. We do not supply an account identifier, name, email or advertising identifier. We do not use this data for advertising or cross-app tracking. See TelemetryDeck's privacy policy.
The App offers an optional auto-renewing subscription. Payment is processed by Apple through the App Store; we never see your payment details. The App uses RevenueCat to validate purchases and restore them on your other devices. RevenueCat processes purchase information and an app user identifier. We do not send it your name or email. Machinist Calc provides conservative starting values for planning a cut. It is not certified engineering data and does not replace your tooling manufacturer's recommendations, your shop's procedures, or your own judgement at the machine.
The App is not directed to children. We do not knowingly request identifying information from children.
