Privacy Policy — Machinist Calc

Last updated: July 28, 2026

Machinist Calc ("the App") is operated by Vladimir Lukashov ("we", "us"). This policy explains how the App handles your information. The short version: it doesn't collect any. The App has no accounts and no login, we do not collect your name, email, contacts, photos, or location, and there is no advertising and no cross-app tracking of any kind.

We operate no server

Unlike apps that send your input somewhere to be processed, Machinist Calc has no backend of ours at all. Every calculation — spindle speed, feed rate, chip load, chip thinning, tap drill sizing — runs entirely on your device. There is no service of ours for your job data to reach, so it cannot be stored, analysed, or shared by us.

No device permissions

The App asks for no permissions at all. It does not use the camera, microphone, photos, contacts, location, or motion sensors. It is arithmetic over numbers you type.

What you type

Cutter diameters, flute counts, thread sizes and the machine you select are held on your device. Your machine choice is remembered between sessions so you don't re-pick it every time; it stays in the App's own storage on your device and is not sent anywhere.

Purchases

The App offers an optional auto-renewing subscription. Payment is processed by Apple through the App Store; we never see your payment details. To validate purchases and restore them on your other devices the App uses RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous purchase receipt and a random identifier — never your identity. This is the App's only network connection. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.

Not engineering certification

Machinist Calc provides conservative starting values for planning a cut. It is not certified engineering data and does not replace your tooling manufacturer's recommendations, your shop's procedures, or your own judgement at the machine.

Children

The App is not directed to children and collects no personal data.

Changes

We may update this policy; changes are reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
